Seriously? Acans are some of the brightest corals I've seen. I still haven't seen anything super nice locally except for two frags at the swap that were already sold. Arg.

I stand corrected. There are a few non-ugly acans out there.

I do not believe that they actually look like that in person though.

Mel I promise you they do. Sometimes they cost an arm and a leg but the really great looking acans are well worth it. They are moderately fast growers, they can withstand some really terrible water quality, and have when taken care of really draw the eye.

Yes but unforunately they are only 2-3 polyps in size right now. I have several rainbows that are growing out and will fetch a premium price when I am ready to sell. Unfortunately they cost a premium price to buy also. I am almost ashamed to say really. Usually I am much stingier, however often times you get what you pay for. I will post some more pics in the next day or so.

Here's a so-so pic of my Red and Green Acan from a couple of months ago:

Pretty sure I got this from Gflat originally, it was only 1 1/2 heads when I got it, at least 15 heads now with lotsa babies.

Seth, I don't want to buy them. I just want to see what one of them looks like in person, ya know?

I am extremely skeptical of pictures (probably more than I should be) so I want to see one in someone's tank before I'll believe it.

I'm sure it will be no time before yours are growing like mad and you are able to recoup your money for them. I wouldn't be ashamed of how much they cost.

I don't have any in my tanks at home currently, they are all in my work tank. However I do work like 5 minutes from the CR. Let me know when you want to come and see them and I will gladly let you check them out.

My MIL has been bugging me to frag them, so mebbe I'll get around to it before long.
They were my first Acan, and they're what got me into Acans in the first place.
It's all gflat's fault!!!
