Spot on sailfin tangs fin

Hi all

I have had a tank up and running since June and have had a sailfin tang in the tank for about 2 months and he spent a month in QT before moving to the display during which time I treated him with culpramine and prazipro. I noticed today that a dark spot has just appeared on his fin that definitely wasn't there before. I would really like to know if it is something that I need to worry about as he is my favourite fish in the tank. I have tried to photo the spot but the photos aren't very good. Please could you all help my identify what this is and wether it requires any action

Thanks

Sorry there the best I could get I'd never get a job as a wildlife photographer. It's the spot on the lower fin you can see it on the top photo.

It's kind of hard to tell exactly what it is, but if the fish is behaving normally and eating well it might just be some normal wear & tear. I wouldn't do anything drastic yet, but definitely keep your eye on it. GL.

It's hard to say from picture. Generically speaking if it's single spot most likely it's from physical damage. It's common among tangs. They fight and cut themselves with tail blades or get scratched against sharp corners chasing each other. It could be some worm damage too. Some worm get attached to the fish and you can see kinda dark spot in this area. Some fungus also has something like dark spots but fish will never look healthy if it is indeed fungus infection.

Fish is behaving normally and still eating so hopefully he just caught it on something. Don't think he could have been fighting as he is the biggest thing in the tank by a long way

looks like a rip through the fin right? it likely is just a scrape but if it is getting larger i would go through the standard anti fungal procedure, for it could be a fungus.
