Hi there
I am i need of some advice, I recently added a kole tang to my reef tank and he must have been carrying something because now my blue tang has spots on him. I have been researching and i dont think it is black spot. He has about 10 spots on each side that bump out with a black dot in the middle and color fading around. It seems that he has a few on his fins and tail that dont bump out, but most of the spots on his body do. I have been able to catch him and put him in a quarantine, and on the advice of my lfs dosed him with a copper based medicine. I believe it might not be black spot and maybe I am not using the right medicine. I have two tangs and three other small fish still in my tank who are all doing fine. Should I quarantine all of my other fish and leave my main tank fallow? or is this a totally different disease. If anyone has any advice or has seen this before please let me know. I was able to qt the blue tang within 24 hours of noticing the spots.
Thank you
Dan
