Spotted mandarin - synchiropus picturatus

Been spending alot of time taking care of her. She is about 1.5". Finally found something she likes, nutramar ova. Started with reef nutrition tigger pods, but felt she needed to fatten up with a supplement.

Placing in a QT tank was the best decision. Its easier to observe and feed. There was no way I could do this in the display.

Just found mine today outside my tank. I had moved him into my sump/frag tank area and since it has multi-levels for frags, it was probably too near the surface. Something must have startled it and it jumped out. I didn't find it until Waaayy too late.

So just FYI, deep tank or else have a cover. Nothing for it to "hang out" near the water surface.

That's a cool fish. Would it happen to be in an ADA tank. I would live to get one of those fish but I don't thinking have the time or experience right now.
