Is she gravid?? See pic.

Have tons of pods, their bellies usually convex down. I have never seen them convex laterally. When viewed from above she bulges out.

If she is gravid what should to improve their chances?

That's so cool! I hope she's gravid. How long has she been like that? Are you going to get a male and breed her? Be sure to read the breeding articles before you choose a male. Mandarins are all about size. They like their males big, the bigger the better. Apparently they kill the small males.

I have a male see pic & videos. He is definitely bigger than the female

I have had the male for 3+ years. I got the female about two and a half years ago, sometime in Nov. or Dec. 2011. I have never seen her this fat! I have seen what I interpret as mating behavior, as far back as 2011. See video "œ05 Mandarin Pair" taken in December 2011. It looks to me like they are flashing each other. Can any experienced breeders confirm this as courtship behavior? Is there sexual dimorphism in S. picturatus? My female looks more brownish while the male is more green.
