Spreading mushrooms

I am in need of opinions on the best way to get rid of mushrooms. My mushrooms are spreading like crazy and our doing damage to my other corals. Any suggestions on the eastiest way to rid of them without doing to much damage to the rest of the tank would be appreciated. Thank you.

Slice them off at the base with a razor blade and give them to your local fish store for credit. No need to waste a good thing. What kind of mushrooms are they, do you have pics. Im looking for blue and purple shrooms.

If you slice them off at the base, they will grow back though.

If you dont want them to grow back, mix up some kalk paste and inject it with a syringe. Ive heard hot water works too but I do not know how accurate it is.

What about covering what's left with reef putty -- I guess you deal with it the same way as aiptasia.

I just feed mine a little kalk paste. They don't like that too much.

Sorry, for the delayed response, I had some things come up. Thankyou for everybody's advice. I took one piece of rock with about 40 shrooms on it to the store the other day for credit. But, was still left with the task of eliminating another 50 or so in the tank. Didn't get them all with the cauld, but enough for now. I cant believe how fast they spread To answer woodycb, they are just standard purple mushrooms. Thanks again
