Spring Cleaning/Honeymoon Fund Sale

Hello Everyone,

I am getting married in June and want to narrow down the amount of tanks that my potential tank sitter will have to maintain while I'm out of town. So here are the tanks on offer:

65G Hexagon Tank, Freshwater, includes light, stand, Eheim canister filter, Aquaclear 70 HOB filter, UG filter, pump for UG filter, powerhead. Nice FW full set up - $175

120G Glass cages tank, set up FW now, has home made overflow, lighting, oak stand, 40G breeder sump (set up for FW, but easily converted to SW), UG filter, pumps to run UG filter, nice return pump, MAG canister filter in line for water polishing, 5G of Seachem biomedia. Full set up. $400

225G - This is just the tank, and is not set up with anything else. It's 3 sided painted and drilled for sump use. $300

Huge Rubbermade water trough that can be used for a sump (does not have the mold resistant stuff in it, it has been used for a SW sump before). I think it is 100G and is very heavy duty. $50

55G barrel, food safe plastic, for RO or water changes, $25

48" 2xT5 light fixture, ballast recently replaced, $50

I have a ton of Texas holey rock. This stuff is primo and would cost a fortune to find the stuff on Ebay and pay for shipping. If anyone wants this for a FW tank I'll have it available once I sell the 120G set up. It's over 100lbs of it and is very nice and has tons of neat holes and hide spots, ideal for African Cichlids. $200

Also have some nice driftwood (big) that would go nicely in an Amazon or lower PH tank. They are on slate bottoms and ready to go. $50 for all of it.

2 D120 LED lights. These things are super bright 50/50 10K/455nm blues. There are 55 3W LEDs in each unit. They will light the tank up, although I would recommend supplementing with actinics for best results. $150 for both together.

Tropheus Moori (ikola) - Breeding colony (30 - 40 fish). These are Tanganyikan cichlids. Black with yellow bands. Gorgeous. Won't part out the colony. They need at least a 120G tank (which they are currently in). They are breeding and there are lots of fry that come with this deal. Many of the fish were wild caught and were not cheap. I will let the entire colony go for $300. If someone buys the 120G set up I can part with them for a little cheaper ($250) since I know you will have the right tank to keep them happy. Must see them. SW colors on FW fish. If you get them you probably ought to make it a species only tank, but you won't be disappointed, they are stunning. And you are getting them at a significant discount from what I paid (big time).

18" Pacu - If anyone wants this guy and has a tank that will give him a good home I will literally pay you to take him. You get $25 for taking him if you have an active profile on RC for at least 6 months and 50 posts, and you have a 150G+ tank and promise not to release him. He is a beast and needs a good home. Please help me find a home for this guy!!! He came free with a tank I got and I can't keep him anymore. He's a sweetheart, and just needs a big tank.

I have a ton of other FW/SW stuff I need to clear out of the basement to tile it. So, if you buy any of the above you are welcome to look through the other things and make an offer if you need any of it. There are some cheap 36" lights, various FW test kits, and other things.

I really hope I can get this stuff gone before June 14th so that I can leave my housesitter with minimal tanks to maintain. And it would also be nice to have a little extra cash for the honeymoon :)

Thanks everyone,
will

I'd be interested in some of the texas holey rock. I'm looking to upgrade to a 20(ish)gal in a month and could use 10lbs or so

The THR is not really in sizes that would fit in less than a 55G tank. It was all in my 120G tank, then I had to pull 1/2 out so that the Pacu could turn around. Thanks for the interest though :)

I forgot to mention two other tanks up for grabs:

The first is Eugene's old 150G tank, 3 sided Starfire glass. Comes with the stand, sump, and return pump. It is drilled and ready to go. I'm using the old light, so you would need to get a light and a skimmer to make this one SW ready, but it is a nice set up that is almost ready to go. $600

The other is a 240G Seaclear acrylic tank (8' x 2' x 2'). It is not drilled, but it is acrylic, so that shouldn't be an issue. Has an unfinished pine stand that will need to be painted. It does have some scratches that could be buffed out, but nothing major wrong with it. I am storing it in my parent's house in Giles, so if someone wants this I will need to arrange getting it down from Giles so please serious offers only. $600

OK. This stuff has to go. I have repriced. See below. Let me know what you need:

If it anything is still posted I still have it, you don't have to email me to ask. Not looking for trades.

65G (30" tall) Hexagon Tank, Freshwater, includes light, stand, Eheim canister filter, Aquaclear 70 HOB filter, UG filter, pump for UG filter, powerhead, heater. Nice FW full set up - $150

120G (4'x2'x2')Glass cages tank, set up FW now, has home made overflow, lighting, oak stand, 40G breeder sump (set up for FW, but easily converted to SW), UG filter, pumps to run UG filter, nice return pump, MAG canister filter in line for water polishing, 5G of Seachem biomedia, heater. Full set up. Comes with the Pacu listed below. $450

150G tall tank (48"x30"x24"), 3 sided Starfire glass. Comes with the stand, sump, and return pump. It is drilled and ready to go. I'm using the old light, so you would need to get a light and a skimmer to make this one SW ready, but it is a nice set up that is almost ready to go. $500

I am storing it in my parent's house in Giles, so if someone wants this I will need to arrange getting it down from Giles so please serious offers only. No pictures, it is a Seaclear tank, minor scratches, no cracks and a pine stand. If you aren't sure what it looks like here is a link http://www.fishtanksdirect.com/240gallon96x24x24showaquariumbyseaclearfreeshipping.aspx. Tanks and stand $500.

225G (72"x24"x30")- This is just the tank, and is not set up with anything else. It's 3 sided painted and drilled for sump use, a little rough looking (but it does hold water) and the price reflects that. $250

Huge Rubbermade water trough that can be used for a sump (does not have the mold resistant stuff in it, it has been used for a SW sump before). I think it is 100G and is very heavy duty. $50

55G barrel, food safe plastic, for RO or water changes, $20

48" HO 2xT5 Current light fixture, ballast recently replaced, $50

And you are getting them at a significant discount from what I paid (big time).

I also have a smaller colony that is in the 65G hex tank. This include a male wild caught and about 11 smaller F1 fry that are in the 1-2" range. This is a very nice colony that is living harmoniously in a small tank. These guys I will let go to someone who has an appropriate tank (e.g. 75G+ species only) for $80. These are a nice colony that I expect to breed in the right conditions. You are getting a male wild caught and lots of good viable fry that have been grown out. This is a real bargain. Look up the price of Tropheus Ikola and you'll know what you are getting.

Also, I have goby cichlids. Eretmodus Cyanosticus. These are not cheap fish, but I have been breeding them and have several nice specimens that could work in an African tank. They are mouth brooders and I would recommend getting at least 6 so that you have a good chance of getting a male and a female so you can breed them as well. 1" to 2" adults for $10 per. Or 6 for $45. Google them. They are barred and have the lovely silvery blue color that you want from gobies. Very personable and don't require a species only tank. Although they do go well with the tropheus listed above.

18" Pacu - Free to good home, you have to have a 150G+ tank and promise not to release him. He is a beast and needs a good home. Please help me find a home for this guy!!! He came free with a tank I got and I can't keep him anymore. He's a sweetheart, and just needs a big tank. He comes free with the 120G set up.

There are some cheap 36" lights (2 lights, 4xT5 HO, $50), various FW test kits, and other things.

Also, one other one off item, I have a Rockford Fosgate P2 12" subwoofer in a box, comes paired with a Sony Xplod 1000W amp. My booming days are over, so if anyone wants this it's $400. The speaker itself is $250 and it is has barely been used.

Reply via email with CL Aquarium in the subject line and I'll get back in touch with you. Again, if it is still listed, it is still for sale and I'm not looking for trades.

Thanks for the interest.

Interested in that 150 tall

Interested in that 150 tall

Will,

I'm interested in this:
150G tall tank (48"x30"x24"), 3 sided Starfire glass. Comes with the stand, sump, and return pump. It is drilled and ready to go. I'm using the old light, so you would need to get a light and a skimmer to make this one SW ready, but it is a nice set up that is almost ready to go. $500

I was over at Jorge's place and met Mike and some other folks. Anyway, I'm interested if you are still selling. I could use some help moving it , but I have a pickup and from what Mike said, we all live pretty closely together....so it would not be a long move.

-Rich

Thanks Rich!!!

225G (72"x24"x30")- This is just the tank, and is not set up with anything else.
