SPS and Alk adjustments

I've recently (past month) been raising my Alk up. Dosing has never been terribly consistent, so now I'm really getting in dialed in. I've slowly raised it from ~6 to now 9dKh over the past month. Corals are generally pretty happy, but I've seen a burnt tip here and there. Should I expect to wait a few months before everything is "acclimated" to the new Alk levels?

If you are starting to get some burned tips, I would bump the alk down a little, especially if you have an low nutrient tank. I try to keep mine at 8dKh, if it gets above 9 I run into problems.
