I do not know if this helps, but I am running Radions. Below is my spectrum chart screenshot from the radion software. It is run at 100% brightness. My SPS do well. Fixture is 8" above water, most SPS are 5" below waterline. I have a 75G tank.
I have been running a diy cree led fixture with a typhon controler over my 210 sps tank for almost two years. my blues max out at 42% and the whites 25% and i have had outstanding growth at every level in the tank
@andbob, thanks for the input. Question: How did you arrive at 42/25 blue/white? How did coloration/PAR/PE factor into your process?
Thanks, I'm a SPS noob, I'd prefer to set my LED's based on what I think make my corals look the best, but I'm concerned about the PAR output and needs of the SPS to optimize growth.
Three other people in my reef club have the same diy light and i went based off there numbers, my polyp extention is great, color is deep, and it it enough light to grow sps sittin on the sand, also i have a 2:1 blue: white with my leds and they are spaced about 1.5 inches apart.
