Hi all, it's been a while since I've visited the forums, but I felt like I should stop by to ask about SPS bleaching via LED lights. I just got a package on Tuesday of many frags from vividaquariums.com (beautiful by the way, besides a sketchy birds nest coral). I noticed today that one of my sps frags already looks dead, and a monti cap that is looking worrisome now.
My lighting is the Steve's LED's fixture for a Biocube 14, 14,000K. I'd say the power on the system was maybe a little less than half power.
I feel like maybe I placed them too high in the tank, and unknowingly killed them that way?
All other corals, including SPS corals received from vivid, are doing great.
