sps burnt tips

Hi guys,
can anyone on here please list me the main reasons for burnt tips???
I have recently started to get a few colonies suffer with this, my cal mag and alk are all stable,
temp is stable as is po4
each tip that gets burnt becomes colonised with green algae , also my hoekesami is losing colour
I have plenty of flow and run 400w halide with 4 narva blue t5s

most common reason for any signs of STN - alkalinity issue. It could be too high for your system. Hard to day with out knowing any numbers.

kh is stable at 10- 10.5 salifert
calcium 440 mag 1400 tmc combined test
po4 trace
nitrate undetectable
dose biodigest bacteria 1 ampule per week
2 ml vodka per day and use bubble magus skimmer rated at 1500litre on a 700 litre sps system
heavy stock of fish feeding 7 cubes of frozen rinsed in ro per day
one question is why am i suffering bad algae on the burnt tips if my phosphate is trace

You are facing this problem because of your alkalinity level. Try to reduse slowly and maintain natural sea's levels, 7-8max.
 
to the prior posters point, because you are dosing a carbon source and bacteria, you need to keep your alk levels at natural levels. In essence, your alk is to high.
