More tank = More parameter stability = happy coral. A few years ago i has a SPS system with 225gallons of water and I had no issues. Now I am battling to keep things stable in the 40 I have now. I need to upgrade.
Looking very good. I have a lot of growing sps in my 40g and I keep thing stable with a ATO ,kalk and weekly 5 gallon water changes. I am seeing a big change in many sps since starting this a month ago. Changing to a 250w from 2 150ws helped a lot to. I love the 250w with a 20k.
I'd assume you are saying a change from one 250 watt MH to two. I've recently experienced some color loss and bleaching because of a light upgrade and cannot wait for some of the coral to gain color back
They continue to grow but am slowly getting my color back I'd also agree with others on volume being a key to having a stable tank. I have about 90 gallons of volume and would love to have ~300 gallons.
