sps coloring up after up grade 40 to 65

More tank = More parameter stability = happy coral. A few years ago i has a SPS system with 225gallons of water and I had no issues. Now I am battling to keep things stable in the 40 I have now. I need to upgrade.

I recently upgraded my 40 to a 65 and went from 6x39 T5 to 2x150 Reeflux12K + 4 T5.

In just the two weeks I can see a marked difference.

Looking very good. I have a lot of growing sps in my 40g and I keep thing stable with a ATO ,kalk and weekly 5 gallon water changes. I am seeing a big change in many sps since starting this a month ago. Changing to a 250w from 2 150ws helped a lot to. I love the 250w with a 20k.

I'd assume you are saying a change from one 250 watt MH to two. I've recently experienced some color loss and bleaching because of a light upgrade and cannot wait for some of the coral to gain color back:(

They continue to grow but am slowly getting my color back;) I'd also agree with others on volume being a key to having a stable tank. I have about 90 gallons of volume and would love to have ~300 gallons.
