Any one an idea what this is?
Got my tank for almost 5 months. Got this sps for 2 months now and started to do great until i recently noticed white spots like it is being eaten of. Who is doing this? Got a Valentini puffer. Also got two hermites who are hanging around my sps all the time as you can see in the pics. Should i get rid of my puffer?

Thanks

First welcome to reefcentral and enjoy the ride,

I would try Removing the hermit crabs ASAP and puffers are not really reef safe in such small aquaria.
Helps this helps

Do you notice any red/orange dots very small so look hard down at the bottom of the frag
I have a full stocked SPS tank with 20 or more hermit crabs and the hang on my SPS all the time with no problems I don't think that's your problem
Maybe the puffer maybe

Hi. I dont see any orange or red dots...
I nev saw the puffer picking or even hanging around the coral...
Do hermits really eat the polyps of sps?

Thanks

I got a blue and orange hermit. Are Halloween hermits able to eat polyps?
Yesterday i got rid of my puffer. We wil see if this makes a difference

check to see if u have really small starfish im not sure the correct name of them astriena or something like that but I heard they eat that type of sps

I've observed my halloween hermit crab MAYBE eating my Acan Lords, he was sort of picking around the circumference of the heads and then they looked terrible for a few days...I never experienced anything like this why mine. However, after my most recent experience I wasn't going to toss the big guy but I won't be purchasing one in the future, either.

You should wait for the lights to go out and grab a flashlight to see if you can spot any predators.
