SPS dominated 150G mix reef

Edges are becoming darker because of the growing SPS colonies, so I am going to add a fifth hydra 52HD in the next days.

That is one amazing looking tank you got there!
Do you have a build thread somewhere?
By the way, your photography skills are very nice to say the least.

Thank you!
I do have some older pictures but in a brazilian forum (in portuguese). If you'd like I can send you the link (can I post it here?).

Still looking fantastic!
Might be time for you to exercise your passion and take some top downs and macros!
:) please...
Are you still using biopellets?
Are you using any additives? Aminos or trace elements?

Great looking tank man!:D
Question for you, you said you use a 6000sss skimmer. That is rated for 600 gallons, and you have a 150 gallon set up. Does the skimmer perform constantly or does it sit idle sometimes? Do you skim wet or dry? I only ask because that is a large oversizing of the skimmer, but clearly your tank is amazing.

Thanks!
I am using pellets in a skimz reactor.
Aminos and carbohidrates every other day and zeovit stopflatworm two times a week (seems that acros extend their pollyps more after I started using it). Iodine and potassium when necessary.

I'll take some photos this weekend, ok? :)

Thank you Corey!
I usually do not recommend an oversized skimmer, but got this one in a once in a time deal.
It seems to me that 600Gal is way too much for SRO6000, at least for a heavy stocked tank. My entire system is around 200gal and I'm using it 24/7 without signs of overskimming. I prefer a dry skimmate but can't tell you any real advantage of doing it.

Thanks!

Man I feel like I got punched in the gut! Beautiful system! I think adding another led fixture will be a great step. It looks like everything directly under the lamps has amazing growth but the less light areas didn't grow as fast. Please update a FTS for us after you add the other fixture. How much flatworm stop do you dose every time you use it?

Thank you Piper!
Dosage as KZ recommends: 1ml / 100L or 25 gal.

I have already purchased the hydra but am supposed to have it in the next 2 weeks. I'll update this topic FTS as soon as I have it installed!!

Beautiful Tank. What is that mean little fish that chases all the other fishes around?
