That is a rose millepora. For some reason millepora dont have long stringy polyp extension. Don't get me wrong, the polyp extenstion is great but in others tanks milli's look different.

I looked at my tank today and saw this and had to take a pic:
ORA Borealis

Now that is some crazy PE! I think it is finally used to my tank.

Nice tank man.. are you dosing anything? Nice colors.
Thanks DML08, here is my dosing schedule:
TM Bio-Calcium-1/2 tsp every night
TM Bio-Magnesium-1 tsp every night
Seachem Strontium-1/4 tsp every night
TM Lugol's- 1 drop every other day
Seachem Tech I-enough to cover the bottom of the cap every other night
Brightwell Aquatics Potassium-10 drops every Saturday
I also drip Brightwell Aquatics Kalk+2 24/7, seven days a week in conjunction with my aquadose top off system.

For feeding:
2 drops of rotifeast and 2 drops of oysterfeast every night after lights have been off for 30mins.
1 drop of Brightwell Aquatics CoralAmino every other night

So, as you can see from my first pics, these things are growing like crazy. Problem is they are started to grow next to some of my acros and touching them. Should I be worried? I mean they jumped from the rock that is under where they are now. It's a good one and a half inches.

Anyone have any suggestions? Are they okay to cut or do they release toxins when cut?

Also, sometimes when I look at the water's surface in my tank, it seems to have an oily tint to it. Its like the oily film you get when you feed mysis shrimp(if not rinsed well enough). Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

I would be wary of the Xenia - once they get to moving, it can be hard to control. No worries just slicing them off the rock with a razor blade where you don't want them.

Since I have such a small tank and am not running carbon, I was wondering if toxins would be a problem if I did just cut them?

Xenia do not seem to release toxins. I have shredded as much as I can and never saw any ill effects.
I loved Xenia when I first added it to my tank, but now that my tank is SPS dominant, I wish I didnt have them because of how much it takes up space and shades the sps. Id remove all the xenia if you still are able to as you might regret it later once the tank is more mature.
Im going to try a fluke tab remedy to kill all of mine.

I would probably slice them off the rock as well Jack. I wouldn't worry too much about the toxins. If you are going to worry about them, simply slice them off before you do a nice water change. You'll be running out of room quick; you better get that new tank planned out. ;)

I just finished taking down the 65 this weekend. When you decide to move to a bigger tank, let me know. I have some frags waiting for you if you'd like them. They're pretty much good to go, but they'll for sure be clean when you upsize.
