Hi,
I keep kiling new SPS and need some help figuring out why.
I have a 230g tank, with 90 gallon sump and a 90 gallon tank that shares the same sump.
When I add a new SPS to the 230, its polyps extend, it looks good for ~ 3 weeks, then its tissue just falls off overnight. This has happened for the last 3 frags I have purchased and i'm at my wits end.
The tank is lit with AI Hydra 52's at 20K for a 7 hour photoperiod at 60%
flow is provided by 2x MP40 QD, and 4x Gyre XF150s
Im using Aquaforest reef salt and the tank is stable at the following
Salinity - 35-36 pptw/ calibrated refractometer
Alk - 8.2 - 8.4 DKH w/ hanna checker
Calcium - 405ppm, w/ Salifert
Magnesium - 1400 w/ Nyos
Nitrate < 5ppm w/ Salifert
Phosphate 0.02-0.06 w/ hanna ULR
Temperature - 81-82
