SPS growth or problem

I am soliciting opinions on the following SPS deep blue acro...would you consider the white branches or shoots new growth or an issue that should be amputated....eliminated before it spreads? I purchased the coral approximately 3 weeks ago and these have developed. I'm not sure if these were existing branches which turned white or new developments. Any experience would be appreciated.....I'm not experiencing any issues with any other acros or corals.
thanks

+1 on dying tips, and as far as identification I'd say it's most likely A. Tenuis. If you want legitimate advice based on experience, or a possible diagnosis, you need to post more info in regards to water parameters and your system. It appears to be a young tank, which often means susceptible to instability.

I second the young tank and possible instabilty.

most all sps dont tolerate shifts in your water. so alk, ca, mg, ph(can shift a bit more then the rest probably) have to stay spot on for them to stay happy. the older the tank, the more stable the water will become if you continue to care for it with a scheduled rigor.

good luck, sorry for the bad news, research research and have fun

The tank has been up and running since around Dec 2011. The parameters are pretty stable....I maintain a log and record all parameters periodically. I just replenished the tank with corals after a major phosphate issue, (which has been resolved for 3 months now). I added around 30 new frags over the last 6 to 8 weeks, (after dipping, acclimating and qt). This and 1 other coral bleached. All others are prospering....so I don't know what the issue was other than possibly those specific 2 corals were not happy. The other coral bleached over night...this one was slow.
