Sps have nothing on acan colours.

It's not as easy to have acans make new colour combinations, but its worth it!
It must be up to 30 plus different intentional colour combinations in the top tank now and four really weird ones, but they are sort of ugly in the bottom tank.
Others like them, i think they are weird!
These are a couple more of the colour variations from bits of others that change compared to the original I took from.
Have been trying out which ones kill sps and which colours live well up against them.
Its all a learning curb and keeps the hobby from getting boring.
I could not get these colours to appear that easily with out leds.

The yellow acan is probably the coolest coral i have ever seen. Where do you find a piece that nice?

Sps have nothing on acan colours.

Ive got a spare tank right now that im thinking of converting to do what you have been doing so nicely and need a couple questions answered correct me if im wrong....by the way the tank has been running well for about 6 months and i just transferred everything but sand to my
New tank.

So i need to establish an symbiotic algae (green?) colony in my tank and i need to dose the iodide , phosphate, and human grade iron. The colors will slowly appear on the less colored acan and i should turn off the skimmer and keep phos and light high, right? The acans will become more vibrant unless it gets next to a red or dominant coral....what did i miss and typically how long does it take for color transfer???

Will color transfer to a red acan?

A pic or two of what you are doing about would do wonders

Just wodering if the OP could take a look at my post (#23) to correct anything i did wrong or elaborate on a couple points
