I would guess it to be a Porites species. The difference between that and a Montipora would be that Porites have Septa in the corallites and typically have longer polyps. If you provide a close up picture of a bare corallite it might be possible to ID the species. I would give it a shot at least.

That is a montipora or Porite. I think it is a montipora. Where did you get it and what did they call it?

got it from local. I was thinking porites coral would have a jell likes shell this one just tips.
