just thought i would try and see if i can get these corals identified. i dont normally worry about sps identification but these pieces have me intrigued

i have a feeling the first is Pocillopora eydouxi which i know is sought after by a few people

and i have no idea on this one. i work in a lfs and this actually came in on liverock which i noticed and broke off to see if i could keep it. i have no idea if it is even an sps

why are they out of the water? they look much different with PE and UNDER water

because i only just got them and i could take a clearer picture of them out of water which would hopefully make it easier to id them

my guess is the 1st one look like poccillopora or stylo but
best bet will be pocci.
The blue branch look more of deep water sps.

I would say stylophora on the first.

The second looks like a sort of branching hydrocoral.

I forgot the name of the second one and it's not a branching of coralline algea. it needs strong flow and low light prefered placed under overhang.

The first is Poccilopora eydouxi or verrucosa. The second is definitely Distichopora (most likely violacea). VCoo and dattong have it right.

the later is non photo synthetic thats why it needs lots of flow(to keep algae from growing)and proper feedings.usually these corals dont last very long!

The first is poc and the second one is stylaster. Its non symbiotic and needs to be fed well in order to live. Otherwise none as lace coral.
