Sps keepers question

Ok guys for those keeping sps what salt are you using? I am using red sea pro salt now this keeps my alk at 12 all the time in other post on the forum I have found out as long as I use this salt my alk will stay high
Now I am just trying sps I have a monti to try

So far it is doing well my question is should I switch to a different salt so I can keep alk down around 9dkh most say this is perfect for acros

I use NSW, but when I can't I use Red Sea pro same as you and it tests consistently 10 on my salifert and Red Sea test kits. 12 is a bit strange it is the upper limit but my sps deplete my alk quickly even in my nano. So I guess if you let it slowly drop to say 11 or 10.5 and do your water change it won't be too bad. I try to keep mine between 9.5 and 10

I also used redsea coral pro when I started my tank. I switched to redsea blue bucket when I added sps in the tank. The tank ran at 10 dKh with pro and now I keep it at 8. I still like the magnesium higher so I add about 40ppm to get it to 1320.

I use Instant Ocean Reef Crystals and dose 2 part. Stability is the key IMO, you can have success with lots if different types of salt. Having it delivered Amazon prime makes it easy....
