i dunno if this is the right forum to post this question but here goes. just wanted to get your guys/gals opinion on the best way to upgrade my lighting. i am going from 2x150de MH to 2x250se/de MH. how is the best way to go about acclimating my reef to the new lighting. its a mixed reef but mostly sps dominant. right now halides are on for 10.5hrs 6p-430a. should i use screens and keep the same photo period? should i not use screens and just decrease the photoperiod and increase it gradually? or should i use screens and decrease photoperiod and increase gradually? has anyone had experience with this, and if so how did you do it, and what were your results? looking for some ideas on the most sps friendly way to go about the change. thanks in advance for the input.
