This is my second reef tank, about 200 gallon in total. Main tank is 60 x 36 x 22(high) inch. Three XM 10000K 250W HQI with DIY reflector(yes, it is DIY ^_^), EuroReef CS6-2+ Skimmer, TUNZE 6100 x2 with 7095 controller, DIY Ca reactor, DIY float swith controller for top-off. All the coral are wild collection come from south China sea.

In China, SPS dominated tank is rare. The equipment is expensive and the coral is cheap, you could got a big arco with less 15 US dollars, but most SPS in market has no bright color and the choices is limited.

I'd like to hear more about what it is like being a reefkeeper in China. Do you buy most live items from local aquarium shops or mail order? I would have guessed that the equipment would be relatively cheap but you say it is expensive. Is that because it needs to be imported? How about electricity? Is electricity expensive?

Thanks everyone, there are six fishs from old tank, but they hide in rocks when I take photo, I think they need some time to adapt new tank. I have flame angel, Purple Tang, Strawberry Dottyback, Centropyge heraldi, and I do not know english name of other two fishs :-)

to Valab: reefkeeping in China is in very primary stage, there a many aquarium store in big cities like Beijing and GuangZhou, but SPS is hard to find, I know only about five friends in Beijing who has SPS in tank. Many fish and coral sales in stores is come from south china sea. There are many equipment made in china and it is very cheap, my return pump is ATMAN pump which made in china, this is a 1700GPH pump and the price is 35 US dollars. But if you want to get a TUNZE pump or EuroReef skimmers, you must import it by yourself and pay the shipping fee.

Very very cool!!
and thats an AWSSOMEEEE blue Squamossa on the far right there....

how much did that bugger cost!

to Shawnts106: it is difficult to account because many equipments and all the creatures are come from the old tank, I think the cost will below 4000 US dollars. The cost for tank and substructure is relevant cheap, just 600 US dollars for this new tank (include sump)

I was just referring to the blue squamossa
