sps nano with large sump volume questions and input wanted.

im looking into a small display with a large sump. something like 24-40 gallon cube display with 30-50 gal sump. I will want to house SPS primarily, as that is where i left off last time I had a tank. I figure by getting the sump and equip (slowly) that i will use for my next larger sized tank, i can use it for a nano now. I'd run a halide over it, skim large, etc, just like a large tank, but have the upkeep price and startup price of a smaller tank. also i could put tons of flow and light into a nano with minimal cost. and it'd be easy to move...

anyone doing this for sps now? any pic links, setup links, anyone want to chime in? Any info is welcome. lets see especially closed loops on nanos or high flow nano systems.

thanks

Matt

I guess I fit the bill, kind of. I am currently working on making my 20g H tank a mixed reef with SPS. I do have A. Nana, but that's about it for SPS. Here is what I have:
20g H with 20g H sump with approx. 6 g fuge built into the sump
Seaclone 100 with heater in sump
Approx. 35 lbs lr in display with ssb
Approx. 15-20 lbs lr in sump and fuge
HOB overflow and Mag 3 return
100 gph power head in display
175 W MH with 10K XM bulb
65 W PC Actinic

This is where I want to go:
SCWD on Closed Loop with a mag 5
Stock more SPS

Currently I have ric flordias, yuma, zoas, echino, maxima and crocea clam, RBTA, gold strip maroon clown, royal gramma, purple firefish, red and blue legged hermits, astreas, nass., trochus, and a conch. I have had this running for about a year, with my sump running for about 6 months. I hope to add SPS within the next 2-4 months as I will be moving soon and want the tank to settle down a bit before I add the hard to keep corals.
