I've got 6x24W TEK T-5 retros in a custom hood (see galley)
I run 5 of the bulbs over the tank and the sixth over the fuge.
Actic Plus: 10am-10pm
Aqua Blue Plus: 3pm-9pm
Actic Plus: 11am-5pm
Aqua Blue Plus: 3pm-9pm

sweet another T-5 user how is the color of the sps holding up under your lights. nice wood work on the canopy btw

I've had pretty mixed results. So far almost every piece I've put in there initally bleached, but I never lost any. Since then most have colored up, but not to their full potential. I'm thinking of raising the lights up in the canopy a couple of inches. I'm thinking about this because I've been trying to get rid of a few frags due to space, and in gathering these frags together in the tank I've put them pretty low...and after about two weeks the colors on them look fantastic....

How high do you have them now I think most people are running them about 6" off the waters surface

Right now about 2-3" off the surface. I was thinking of takeing them up to 6".... or maybey put them in an arc over the tank.

thae arc idea would be cool i beleve moast people run 6" or so, you should be fine do a search on dano's tank
