SPS newbie question - Montipora

I've got a sunset monti frag on a rock; if I place a sentosa frag on the same rock, will the monti eventually overgrow the sentosa, or will they be able to coexist?

Good question, but from pictures I have seen, I believe that the encrusting monti's will try to grow over everything.
