Sps On Live Rock

I am about to start buying some SPS corals for my 180. The stores around my area have nice pieces however they are attached to live rock that a lot of times have aptasia, bubble algae ect....attached to them as well. I really don't want to introduce these rocks to my tank.. In the past i have brought lps home to another tank and cleaned these algaes off only to come back and spread through the tank. Does anyboody ever take the SPS off the live rock and attach them to a clean plug or a new peice of live rock that is already in the tank or is this to stressful to the coral? Thanks for your input.

A lot of people do that with all their new corals. Its easier to prevent pests when you just have to worry about the frag, and not the plug.
