thanks

That looks like acro eating flatworms. I would remove the infested coral and move to qt to start a dipping regiment.

Hope someone else can confirm my ID.

Are those bulges hard?looks more like a barnical to me with the open hole in it. I would dip it anyway. Is it a wild piece?

My reef tank is infected vith a AEFW. Have bin dosing triple dose in 2 m. now. I can se inpruvment. The colors are caming back on almost all acropora . Pest dasent spred animore on the nuwe colonies. I stel have a AEFW in my tank bat ot is not so aggressiv as it vas in the bigining. I finde one coloni copel days ago dat have a AEFW . Try to dip 8 colonies but just one have worms on. So I think the Flatwormstop helps. The treatmant teacks 3 maunth or longer.

Often scavengers are mistaken for the real culprit.
They move in to pick up the scraps left over and are seen munching on whatever died.

Doesn't look like aefw damage to me, looks like a barnicle.

Vladis nice shot of the flatworms!
