Sps polyp Extension

Hi dear members,

I have a question on polyp extension. PE isnot bad in my tank, but I dunno if it is coz of Good care or water parameters. What am I skeptic? Coz I have algae problem, though decreasing. Would the reason of much PE be lack of light or nutrients they need or am I paranoid?
Parameters:

Salinity:1026
Ph:8,2
Kh: 9
Ca:470
Po4: between 0,5-1 not Good at reading color Charts
No3: 10
Temp: 25,8 C

4*39W T5 3 Giesemann Lagoon blue and 1 aquaplus app. 10" above water level and 18" To first Acro.

Honestly that PE looks normal when my coral have good PE I know they are happy, but I would lower your N03/p04. Have you lost any color on the coral at all ?

Thnx , I only lost color of last coral in photos. But it turned out pinkish color. And it has some noticable growth as of few more branches.

As you told I wanna decrease nitrate and phosphate but I am concerned. Becoz I am thinking that if I lower those parameters more than needed then I can get hungry corals.

I have approximately 65 Gallon total water volume. I run GFO reactor and Tunze 9410 Protein skimmer, I have 2X Tunze 6045 and 1X Tunze 6055 circulation pumps. I hvae only small fishes. 5 Blue/Green Chromis, 1 Lubbock's Wrasse, 2 Yellow watchman Goby ,1 Engineer goby 1 Bangaii Cardinal and 1 Cleaner Shrimp. And I feed them once or twice per day. And I dose Amino Acid 2X in a week. I use RO/DI water in WC's every week 5 gallons. I dont understand why those parameters are high even those feeding and dosing regime. Even though TDS readings are 0 I am suspecting ro filters. I may change those for sure. They were installed 5 weeks ago.

I wouldn't suspect your RO filters. 5 gallons a week in WC plus evap of maybe a gallon a day or so. You havn't even made 100 gallons of RO water in 5 weeks. Those things should have plenty of life left.

How old are your lights? How long has the tank been set up? What do you have for CUC?

if this is correct.....

"Po4: between 0,5-1 not Good at reading color Charts"

then this is the reason for the algae problem...

should be .03- .05 maybe a little more but not much.

Yep, you are right, I just cant figure out how that phosphate neters in my tank.

I will increase my CUC, I wanna add Turbo snails but I heard they die easily

I know this is an older thread (not to old) but... have you ever checked your top off water? I tested my RO water and it tested 8 ppm on the TDS meter (time to change sediment filter) and the Po4 was 18 ppb. Distilled water was higher at 35 ppb. At that rate with the ppm conversion of 35*3.066=107.31/1000= .10731 and thats pretty high.

for increase polyp extension I've been experimenting with decreasing water movement and its worked very well. Not saying to do this but just mentioning make sure your corals aren't being blasted.
