Sps polyps not opening - new light acclimation?

I just got new phoenix 250s and I'm noticing sps towards the top aren't extending their polyps. All other sps at lower levels are fine. I'm acclimating new
Bulbs by only running them for 4 hours and adding an hour a week until im at 8. im about to start 2nd week. Are they not opening
Because I'm giving them 4 hours or should I move them all to lower levels? All parameters are ok.

Thanks

Safest thing to do is move them down. How old was the bulb that you changed? The Phoenix losses a lot after 6 months, if they were older then the sps are really getting a stronger dose of light. Move them down but keep to your schedule with the bulb and you should be good.

I found the phoenix bulbs to be overly harsh on SPS and switch to using EVC bulbs (have a 250 DE, so no radium). They have been the best for color and par for my SPS.

I'm having the same issue with some SPS I just got a few days ago. They were under MH and their polyps were out and looking nice. I brought them home and put them midway up in the tank under the LED lighting and now the polyps won't come out. I moved them to the sand last night. Hoping they acclimate.

Careful with LEDs and Acros. They are very harsh on them at first. That pin point light seems to burn them.
