sps problems

Once a coral has bleached is there any way to save it .I went away for a week and had a friend watching my tank and most of my sps are turning white some are completely white my water temp. was at 84 im guessing that's why.Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Crooss your fingers and hope for the best. I would place the coral in the bottom of the tank, in hopes that the lack of light would bring back some zoo. in the coral.

hows your alkalinty..?? mine was high and my sps started to rta...i would checkit along with everything else///

I would try feeding heavily to help the pieces recover quicker. If they are bleached pretty well, they dont have enough zooanthelle to make food from the light. Rotifers, oyster eggs and cyclop-eez should help out

What about sugar??? It makes zooanthelle grow and some report their corals turning brown from over production. Might be the ticket. I know sugar is a carbon source thats suppose to feed bacteria to use up no3 and po4 but like I have said other experience an overproduction in zooanthelle which cause their corals to turn brown .....

When I have problems with a piece lighting up I move it to a tank with more nutrients and 90% of the time they get pigment back.
