SPS QT question.

Would it be safe to plumb a frag tank into the main system to use as a QT tank for incoming coral by running all water from the QT back into the system through a UV? (an over sized UV just to be sure...) Any treatments would have to be done outside in a hospital tank. Aren't most treatments for coral dips anyway?

JM2C , It defeats the purpose of having one . It needs to be a stand alone unit .
Isolation is critical .

Plumbing the QT to your display would be equivalent to filtering the dirty toilet water through a paper towel to drink......IMO
