Can softies and SPS be kept in same tank ? What type of filtration should i run and lighting ? Also i was planning on putting them in a holding tank till i know their good before putting in main tank whats a good depth of a holding tank keep in kind they maybe in their for a good length of time. I have some 6" frag tanks but wasnt sure if shallow is good for them. Please advise
Thanks

It can be done but they are two species that live in differing environments. Its not high on the things I would recommend list.

It depends which type of SPS and which softies. You will see lots of montis in mixed reefs. I have a polyp and SPS reef in my basement and the LE SPS look as good as they do in my SPS only tank. I mostly only have zoas and palys and stuff, but a few LPS - no leathers or xenia or green stars or colt corals or anything.

Ok im going to keep them seperete what kind of filtration and lighting should they need for SPS only i will be using a frag tank type to keep them what depth is good for them of water

I am keeping a small Tyree Green Polyp Toadstool in my young sps tank, don't know if I will run into problems down the road though.
