SPS Slime affecting skimmer??

I have noticed a pretty good amount of slime floating on the surface. The coral looks fine as usual. What isnt going well is the foam fractioning in the skimmer. Despite a good skimmer cleaning the bubbles start for a bit once i turn it on but then the bubbles stop. If I turn the unit off and on...again the bubbles go for a bit but then stop.

Does excessive slime prevent foam fractioning in a skimmer???

I would guess its possible, but sounds like you might a clogged air tube to me.

Check the air tube and impeller on the skimmer, might need a cleaning. Skimmer should be getting rid of the slime

after an extensive check i discovered calcerous deposits inside the injector.. a little scrapping and i am back in business. thanks all

my skimmer is garbage, but checking the air tube is a good idea..
