SPS stocking question

I'm a newbie again! I just started my second tank. It is my first with sump. I have 250 watts MH over a 54 corner. I have a bunch of mature live rock from my established tank, as well as a bunch of excellent live sand in the sump. Will I go through a cycle? This will be my first SPS tank. When can I add the SPS?

Good Morning Neurotech, all sounds good except i hope your using your existing saltwater from your established tank also, if so your off to a good start! go ahead and start puttin er' in...hope this helps...

As long as your water tests good, I would start with something easy like Montis.

Having the water from your old tank will help a bunch....it shouldn't cycle or you might have a mini-cycle. I would wait a week to see if it cycles.

Yep, using at least some of your old tank water would help tremendously. Just do some testing and you should be good to go.
