SPS thought dead is still alive.

I was about to throw this frag away when I noticed there is still some life on it. It had been thought dead and in the sand for about 3 weeks. It is coming back with one single polyp on it. My question is: Should I leave it on the dead coral or frag as much off as I can?

I had monti eating nudis in my tank last summer. After a long battle of dips and quarantine I eventually lost and gave up by ripping out all of my montis. Then around winter or early spring 2 of my corals grew back from nothing. There was maybe some tissue inside some super glue or a tiny piece of flesh still attached to the rock that survived. They have finally encrusted and are very slowly starting to plate back out again.

So a coral with 1 polyp can be saved. It might just take years to become something great again.
