I got a acropora frag 4 days ago was doing fine, now i look today and it seems that some spots are turning white on it?not sure whats going on.my alk is 8.5,PH 8.15-8.3,mag 1300,temp 77.5-78 ,salinity 1.025.My montiporas and birds nest, and others corals are all fully extented and doing great .its at the top of the tank so should good.I dosed my alk rather faster than usual today but nothing else has shown ill effects .First acro in tank havent had them for a long time hoping may have some advice to give.

sorry bad pic.you can see up from the base were the polyp extrudes from is turning white.it all started happening today and there is a little bit of brown goo by one of the polyps aswell.

Prob stn from rapid alk change, u shoud slow dose alk, and new acro ahould start at sand bed and slowly acclimated to light

i only have 4 T5's no MH or intense LED didnt think it would matter..will do next time.il try to drip it slower now on.think it will live or does the whitening usually continue?

We'll I figured it out..a emerald crab is picking at the acros skin!!Wow what a pain in the butt it's going to be to catch him.
