SPS vs. BTA

So, tonight I got home to discover that my BTA took a joy ride to the top of my LR pile, almost on top of my sole SPS frag. I noticed a few BTA tentacles touching the frag in a few places, and the polyps nearby were closed up tight.

The rest of the polyps were still open, so I assume they will be ok? Did the BTA kill the polyps it touched, or will they open up tomorrow after being moved away from the BTA?

In my experience LPS is a lot more sensitive to BTA's than SPS. The SPS should recover so long as they do not remain in prolonged contact with your BTA's tentacles...

It really sucks when you go out of town and come back to a RBTA thats decided to go walk-about... Of course bad things always happen when you're out of town...

Haha, I bet. Since my BTA was closed up during the night, I just got home and turned the lights on, but before doing so I moved the SPS away from the BTA. So hopefully I saved those polyps. If not, I only lost a few, and it's showing decent growth so it shouldn't be too bad.
