SPS vs. RBTA

My tank is mainly SPS. We have a RBTA that is a carry over from our previous tank. It recently split and both were hanging out on the same rock, yesterday it started to move and the second one split again. I really know absolutely nothing about RBTA. Now that they are on the move, I am concerned about my SPS. Few questions:

-Who would win a stinging battle RBTA or SPS? In general...
-Anyone know how to get them off the rock? Most of my SPS are attached well, but I am concerned the RBTA might start knocking things over.

I absolutely value the SPS more than the anemone. Just wondering if I should take any precaution or just let nature take its course (as long as I know the SPS will win!).

They will kill your sps. Get the extras out and sell them. If they are on the move you should be able to get a finger under the foot and work them loose. If not I take a pair of bone cutters and cut away some of the rock under the foot then work it loose. Be vareful not to tear the nem much.

OK, that was what I was afraid of... I see lots of tanks with large anemone populations, just wondering how to manage it. The big question is what to do with it when I catch it if it is not sold!!

Thanks, any additional helpful hints is appreciated!

I've been looking for a RBTA... want to send it to me? :bounce3:

Brooks, thanks for your interest, wish you were closer! I am not experienced shipping and would not want to take that chance. Sorry!

I'm sure you can trade them or sell them to another local reefer. The power head trick works but takes a while sometimes.
