Squamie turning blue??

wow!! where are you guys getting these blue squamie? i been looking for almost a year and have yet to find one.

Ones like Reef Pinoy and Overboard's can be gotten relatively easily. ORA gets them in regularly. Dont waste your time looking for a solid blue like mine and miareefer's they are too rare to ever make it to the retail shops.

I was lucky enough to get to go on a tour of ORA in january and I dont know if they just set out their coolest clams for us to see but they had several squamosa's with blue in them. And one guy said that they often had more than what was there that day. Here are some pics of the blues.

OOOOHHHH MYYYYYY

Where waz this tour again?
ORA?
ya mean you've been to their facility in Marshall Islands or in FL?

Woow man, some amazing clams.....could ya buy'em there?

FL.

If they would have let me buy them, I would have bought evey blue they had.

One cool thing about their facility was they way they did lighting. Super efficient. They had a single pair of 250's that were on a track. They went back and forth down the length of a 10 ft tub. Much better than the standard 250/every 2ft.

ORA is a does not sale retail, even to thouse who are lucky enough to live in FL. Would you go to the nike factory and try to buy a pair of shues. Maby if they had a gift shop, but you wouldnt walk up to the guy doing the finishing touches and ask him if he would sell you a pair.

hahaha

With all the respect to ORA they are not Nike, and even there Mr. Franklin can say the final word.

Anyway, nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Nice pics Acroporas,
Any more pics of ORA?
I see they had a gigas in one of your pics.
Do they also use natural sunlight or just MH?

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks Acroporas for sharing

Thanks Acroporas for sharing

Mate i really dig your blue Squamosa she looks excellent being fair there really is very little difference except my black lines are a little fuller then yours . But the blue is certainly the same tone .I collected my clam myself and to date have only ever seen one more blue squamosa out of a possible few thousand over the years. The other one was about 2 foot long and was huge. Those photos are a bit old of mine currently shes under 20k coralvue globes and looks awesome Ill post a pic over the next few days.
Thanks again
Mia
