its mantle is only half open....I dont have any pickers in the tank and the other half still looks good. It is still reactive and has its bissel threads attached.

My params are in order:
Salinity: 1.026
Alk: 10
ph: 8.1
PO4:undetectable
Calcium: 410
Nitrate:0

Any idea how to correct this issue or a diagnosis? FYI, I have another clam, crocea in the tank and it looks spectacular with zero signs of ill health.

is the water flow comming from that side?? sometimes will shift mantle potition to allow or block flow. still responsive to light changes?? good luck

I noticed the other corals in the pic seems to be leaning to the left. Is there stanger light coming from that side? I had a crocea that settle rather crooked, and it extended the lower side more to "catch" more light. As a result the high side didn't extend much (although more than your sqammie is showing). I would guess that if your corals are showing some sort of polar preference in addition to the clam, there is a conditonal situation- ie- flow, light, etc. that is causing this behavior.

This is a recently redone aquascape...and I believe that is the only reason the corals are leaning. Perhaps it is my sweet photography skills also.

try just putting the clam in a secluded, quiet, and bright spot. what im trying to say is see IF the mantle can come out all the way- little or no current, no pests, etc. If the clam seems incapable of extending it's mantle, you may want to try a treatmenat (ie- FW dip)
