Stain, Paint or Combo

revising question before i pick up materials to do this...hopefully start tomorrow...

Stain all (which will require stripping stand)
Paint all (which will be just the canopy)
or Combo...attaching picture of what i would like to do minus the tacky flowers.

yup, our house is 1920's victorian 'painted lady'....and the place where the tank sits is next to the parlor where the 1810 gothic pump organ is...which is why i am waffling on all black painted....almost too modern for the house...

i do play it...but it's a pump style with wooden pipes...think bass pipe flute...still a haunting sound.

I just checked your polls and actually glad to see Im not the only one that has an appreciation for the old style craftsmanship and like the 2 tone much better that just paint.But thats just me.

I ve done all the cabinetry in my house with 2 tone woods (maple and cherry) together the contrast is really nice.

I say combo. The attached pic looks like a great idea!! But in the end I would do whatever is going to look best for the room its going to be in.
