I am in the process of building a stand for my new used 180 aquarium. I am almost done with the stand but when I put my 6' level across I notice some irregularities in the stand top. The most is ~1/32" but I am paranoid that it is not better. Would you worry is there was a slight wave to the top or just let it go. Options I have thought of to fix the problem are foam (have read mixed review with glass tanks) or a self leveling expoy sold at lowes for "wood shine" that I would pour with a mold to make a perfectly smooth top. Please all input welcome.

It is either AGA or Marineland not sure. I know that foam is best under flat bottom glass and acrylic tanks and shold not be used on the rimmed tanks. Why is that, as long as you make sure the foam does not contact the glass and just contacts the tank I would think it should be fine and help fill minor flaws. The flaws in my stand are minimal but there with at least one low corner at 1/32. Again just paranoid because the stand I got with it was not as good as the one I built and was fine for years before I got it. Just dont want a busted seam or worse due to my inexperience as a carpenter.
