Stand idea for a 500g glass tank

We are going to be building a new house in about a year and I've been going over house plans to include a fairly large fish room! I will not need to have space under the tank, so I was thinking of building a solid concrete box with 1/2" rebar in it for a stand! So what's everyone's thoughts on this as well as what would size would the ultimate fish room be? My plan is to have a reef tank on one wall and a predator tank on another wall! The 500g reef tank will be first, but I want to build everything so if later I decide to add the other tank I will have ample room! Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated.

Although the concrete stand might work, you might just want to use wood for ease and mess. I recently installed a 420 gallon in our basement and used 2x4's placed every 6-8" in 3 rows down the length of the tank. The rows were made like a stud wall in house construction with a top and bottom plate. The 3 rows were then stabilized laterally with plywood both lengthwise as well as side to side. Finally the entire outside was skinned in plywood. The entire stand sat on a doubled up 3/4" piece of treated plywood as well as the top. I was initially concerned about the integrity of the stand and I hired an engineer and this is what he came up with. This was the same format as a past 260 gallon tank set up previously and it was rock solid. My $.02 for what it is worth.
