Stand Q

so i found another flaw to my stand that i have been workin on for 9 months now. The doors are a different wood as the the rest of the stand. What would you guys suggest to do?
Paint it?
what color?
Stain?
With different woods?
Help me out guys i need advise.

You could try staining it and see how off it looks. I would think you would have to Paint it

It really depends on the types of wood. Some woods will stain to look very similar so the difference would not be that noticable.

pine and oak i think.
and no the stand isn't finished yet. it hasn't been painted or stained yet

Oak and pine. Should not be that bad. I always use all oak, except for the trim and that is all in pine. There is a little difference but nothing to complain about.

I would stain it. If you don't like the look Paint it. You can always paint over stain..

Oak stand and pine doors or reverse? I have a ton of plain sawn red oak veneer if you need some.

i will post a pic as soon as i find my camera. if i paint it white will i get enough dirt on it to show? and i paint black will i have salt creep all over it?
