Standard fittings?

Hey guys, I was putting my skimmer in a new sump, and got a pump for around 400gph. Went to lowes and got 1/2" pipe and fitting and 90 degree elbows. got it laid out and the output of the pump is 5/8 od, making the Id of pipe/hose a non standard size. Can someone point me to pump brands that are standard sizes?

My eheim is a standard size. Mags (at least the larger ones) are standard sizes (threaded). For non threaded, you can usually just get some flexible tubing that is the right size, and clamp the tubing to the pump. Is your pump threaded on the inside of the ouput? If so, I'll bet it is a standard size...

You can research individual pump connections in the powerhead section, and the external pumps section at marine depot. I think they ususally list the connector sizes.
