I had absolutely EVERYTHING ready to go...had been talking with Richard at TBS about getting live rock in the next few days...and my pump died! ARGH!!

I've sent it back to the manufacturer for a warranty repair, but how long can the water sit in my tank before I just need to dump it and start over?

After a few days it can go stale and start to form a milky whiteish haze. I would go by a cheap power head or two from like Petco and use those until your new pump comes in. Then clean up the power heads and return them.

I like it.

Another option is buy another pump and when the other one comes back keep it as a spare. It's nice to have a spare when you have lots of livestock at risk.

honestly id say buy the powerheads but dont return them. the flow is a very good thing so definitely keep them
