star fish

do you have sand? if so the easiest star to have is the sandsifter But you will need enough algae IE light in the tank to feed it or it will starve.

sand sifters need LOTS of open sand to survive. i dont think you will have enough sand for one in a 25g. even without any LR. i dont know of any stars that will do well in a 25g

I think a simple brittle star would do fine in a 25 gl. If you feed it regularly. They are generally part of the cleaner crew but i love the 4 i have. but they are in a 90 gal. So 1 might be ok.
i don't reccomend the green brittle star. I have one but he has gotten quite large and I have to make sure he stays full so as not to eat my fish! But serpents, grays, blacks and reds seem to do fine. They hide most of the day, and come out at night. but mine come out when they smell the food now.

I would not recommend a sand sifting star unless you have tons of copods in your sand. They have an insatiable appetite and will completly deplete your pod population in short order and then slowly starve to death. Happened to mine...

Like Suna said, brittles will do fine in you tank. So will serpent stars -They are hearty and eat detritus.
