How many different variants of star polyps are there? I've only seen brown and green. Are there alot of different colors? What about polyp size; I've seen long polyps and short polyps. Are the long polyps just in higher flow or are they altogether a different type of polyp? Any info would be great. Thanks

Not sure, but I have two shades of green. Adark green with longer ployps and real bright green with shorter polyps.
Are they both in the same lighting and flow?

i have three types myself, i'm sure there are at least 15 kinds you may come across in LFS's but many more out there and some probably yet to be described.

yes all three of mine have at least some green in them, the differences are the length of the "skirts" the shade of green, the size of the individuals, and the color of the center, in a few they are brownish toward the center, others are white or yellow at the center. there is a picture of one of them at my blogsite. I've heard there are some yellow varieties that must be pretty but havnt seen em.
